Terms and Conditions

The bakehousetheatre.com website is owned by The Bakehouse Theatre Company.  By using the bakehousetheatre.com website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Orders:-

  • When you place an order to purchase a product from bakehousetheatre.com, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. For ticket orders, your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send email confirmation of receipt of your order. This means that we will be holding tickets for you to collect and that we have taken them out of the pool of available tickets for sale. For non-ticket orders, your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send you an email confirmation that the products have been sent to you.
  • Orders made online must use a credit card payment method unless the order totals $0 in which case no payment is made. We use paypal.com.au to take credit card payments.  Cash is to be paid in person at the Bakehouse Theatre box office. Cheques/money orders may be posted but you must allow plenty of time for cheques to clear (at least 2 weeks). If your cheque has not cleared by the time you pick up your tickets, you will have to pay in cash and we will then refund you the amount on the cheque when the cheque does clear.
  • Tickets purchased through our website incur no booking fee.
  • Tickets purchased other than through our website will incur a booking fee of $2 per ticket.
  • When purchasing through the website, adding tickets to your cart does not guarantee that tickets are being held for you. You must complete checkout to have tickets set aside for you. If you don't checkout in time, the tickets in your cart may no longer be in stock if someone else has checked out with them first.
  • Tickets are to be collected at the Bakehouse Theatre Box Office. The Box office opens half an hour before the show's published starting time.
  • If we have received payment in advance of the performance (ie 15 minutes before the performance or earlier), your tickets will be held under your name until you collect them; and will not be released for sale.
  • If we have not received your payment in advance, your tickets will be held under your name at the Box Office until 15 minutes prior to the show's starting time. After that time, your tickets will be released to be sold on.
  • Ticket purchases are non-refundable except in the case that a performance is cancelled. However, if you cannot attend the performance, please contact us as soon as possible. With at least 24 hours' notice that you cannot attend, we may at our discretion be able to switch your tickets to another night subject to availability.
  • If you are a 'no show', ie you book tickets but do not collect or pay for them or make an arrangement with us, you are still liable to pay the ticket prices and we will invoice you for the full amount.
  • If a performance is cancelled, we will do our best to contact you to let you know, however we accept no responsibility for any wasted time or travel expenses etc incurred in getting to a performance which is cancelled.
  • Latecomers not allowed in. If you arrive after the performance has started, it is regrettably not possible to let you into the theatre until interval, if there is one, or else not at all. Audience entrance to our theatre spaces involves walking across the stage, which would disturb the performance. Therefore it is very important that you arrive on time.
  • It is the patron's duty to read any warning signs information (eg. use of fog machine, strobe lighting, coarse language etc) that are displayed at the theatre. We try to put all warnings on our website as well (but they are not guaranteed to be all warnings). All warnings will be displayed in the theatre.
