Donation

$10.00

The Bakehouse Theatre is a not-for-profit organisation which receives minimal funding to help keep it alive.   If you would like to be a patron of the arts, why not make a donation to us?  The Bakehouse is expensive to run and has no paid staff. Click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button below. This will add a $10 donation to your Cart -- but you can then edit your Cart to change the amount to whatever you wish.

If you donate $10, that will buy us a ream of paper, or a pizza for a starving actor! $25 will buy an hour of a technician's time. $50 will buy a new globe for one of our theatre lights.   $100 will pay for a day's administration help. $500 will pay for a new amplifier for our new "studio theatre" which we need to buy but cannot afford.  $1000 will pay for a marketing campaign for 1 play.

Or if you can't afford to donate very much, why not buy the Bakehouse a 'coffee' now and then?  For the price of a coffee, say $2, we can buy more stationery or make more publicity phone calls.  It all helps!

On the other hand, if you are able to afford a larger donation, you will have a significant effect on the arts in South Australia.  The Bakehouse is an iconic special theatre that supports and nurtures new professional talented actors and crew with its Resident Theatre Groups programme. These resident groups receive reduced theatre hire rates and the help and advice that is so necessary to emerging artists.

It is also home to  Unseen Theatre Company - a very popular amateur theatre group.   Where else would Pratchett fans find their favourite Discworld characters coming alive, not to mention the occasional glimpse of Dibbler in the foyer flogging his wares at interval!

Our patrons love the unique building, cosy and frendly atmosphere and the entertaining and widely varied shows.

You may donate anonymously but we hope you will give permission for your name to appear on our website page, which we are currently preparing, which will list our donors.

May we publish your name as one of our donors?
