A new play about a chance encounter, a sweet memory from the past and the choices human beings make in life – from the AWGIE award winning playwright of the hit play “Miss Blossom Callahann”.

Bennett goes to the beach everyday; to the jetty; to walk, enjoy, sit and watch the pelican in the sky. The pelican used to be one of a pair but now fishes and flies alone.

One day Bennett’s jetty adventure changes drastically when he witnesses a death that he feels he should have been able to prevent.  As he sits on a bench by the sea recovering from the shock and wondering if he could have tried harder to help, a stranger comes and sits with Bennett and comforts him.  As the story unfolds we discover that in fact these two knew each other many years ago and we glimpse the intense feelings that surrounded that brief friendship of the past.

Shocking truths are revealed to Bennett's wife Mabeline as the past is confronted and a painful jolt shakes their long marriage into bitter and hurtful disarray.{mosimage}

The play sees a special friendship remembered, the strength of a long happy marriage challenged through an unexpected intrusion from the past and the realization of mortality bought to the forefront of three very different lives.
