David Williamson's "Sanctuary"

Every man has his price, but does it buy his Sanctuary? And who determines what that price is? His own conscience? Society? the media? the corporate and social elite behind the media?

Bob King (foreign correspondent turned self-serving media personality) doesn't appear "to give a shit about humanity" because he has seen it at close range and "wants nothing to do with it". Besides, he has now earned enough money to buy his own moral, physical and emotional "sanctuary" whic saves him from getting up close and personal. That is until John Anderson turns up to challenge Bob's view of morality. John wants to know what really happened in Cambodia, East Timor, Kuwait, and Guatemala during Bob's stint as a foreign correspondent. John is searching for the truth, but will he recognise it when he sees it, viewed through the "prism of envy"?

The deep resentment and contempt between these two men ignites a psychological and emotional battle that creates a string of moral dilemmas for both of them.

What is your integrity worth? What is an offer too good to refuse?
