cryptaesthesia (kript∂s'øi:zi∂) 

The waking awareness generates a narrative based on the sensory input it receives..cryptaesthesia is the power of perceiving without a sensory mechanism; information gathered by the senses that enters conscious awareness by some other form.

Subtle essences of the natural form, contour and flow of the body, with the focus on the aesthetics and sensuality of the nude female form; it being both the medium and subject. The place where desire and art meet, becoming almost indistinguishable. Your senses allured, emotions enhanced, imagination excited; be drawn into the sensations of the mood. As each piece tells its own tale, albeit a choose-your-own-adventure, you may continue your own personal fantasy; here now or for later...

Cryptaesthesia showcases photography which combines the subtle essences of the natural form, contour and flow of the body, with the focus on the aesthetics and sensuality of the nude female form; it being both the medium and subject. Inspired by classic nude portraiture; subliminally by pop-art/minds-eye; and contemporary street art.

Viewing of art works is available to all patrons of shows at the Bakehouse prior to the show starting and after the show has finished. Other viewing times will be advertised on the site as and when they become available.
