10 (and a half) year old Jessica has just moved in and has fallen in love with the boy next door. Problem is, he's convinced he's an astronaut and is building a rocket ship on his front lawn. He's also a bit of an a**hole. Bolstered by some unfortunate advice from her best friend Ivy, Jessica sets out to win the boy over. Can love survive an intergalactic separation?

This debut play by new writer Kendall Feaver was the stand out hit of  Macquarie University's student written play season. A quirky, off beat story about two children maneuvering through that difficult first relationship against the backdrop of their parent's own dysfunctional marriages. Rocket Boy is an hilarious but ultimately touching exploration of life, love and outer space as seen through the eyes of ten year olds.
