Wicked women, seductive sinners, vicious vixens - The Femme Fatale is depicted as a glamorous blonde with a gun in her hand. Set in the gritty slums of 1929, explore the lives and minds of the female criminal in this gripping piece of theatre. Shatter the fantasy and discover the reality... (Winner of People's Choice Award - Short + Sweet Melbourne, 2011)

The play depicts four fallen angels: Australia’s first female police officer, an entrepreneurial backyard abortion nurse, a serial murderess who lives as a man, and a juvenile woman of the night. In 1929, a young 14-year-old girl walks up the narrow stairs of apartment 777b, an illegal abortion clinic. She is trembling, wringing the dress that she holds, a catalyst for a series of events which forces the four characters to face their own precarious conditions. Four separate monologues portray different viewpoints. No one has the full story, with each new chapter unveiling further details of the female criminal mind. Written by Fleur Murphy. Directed by Chris Saxton. Starring: Kara Stacey Merrin, Rosemary Johns, H. Clare Callow and Erin Dewar
